Jesus rebukes the disciples when they prevent children from approaching Him by stating, “Let the children come to Me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven” (Matt 19:14). Children are a gift from God, “a heritage from the LORD” (Ps 127:3). God loves children, and so do we!

We believe that the primary focus of a children’s ministry is not promoting good morality, good behavior, and definitely not good religion. We desire to help children fix their eyes on Jesus, “the founder and perfecter of our faith” (Heb 12:2). Central’s children’s ministry strives to assist parents in developing young disciples of Christ through worship, discipleship, fellowship, evangelism, and missions.

We have a children’s Sunday School classes from 4k–5th grade that begin at 9:30 AM on Sunday mornings. Our main worship service begins at 10:30 where children 3rd grade and up remain in the sanctuary throughout the service. 4k–2nd graders have the option to leave before preaching begins for Treehouse Ministry. We believe that it is significant for children to worship with mom and dad in the corporate worship setting as early as possible. Each Sunday morning service for kids walks through God’s redemptive narrative in Scripture, teaching biblical doctrine and principles and how all Scripture culminates in the Lord Jesus Christ!

Sunday evenings (Fellowship of Believer’s service) begin with children fellowshipping with adults through a meal (5:30 PM) and singing a worship song. Kids then exit for children’s choir (6:00 PM) and a lesson focusing on missions.

Our Wednesday evening service begins at 6:30 PM and teaches a biblical doctrine each night (sin, salvation, Jesus’ deity, heaven, hell, etc.). All children’s volunteers are church members with approved background checks. Please contact one of our Children’s Ministry Team leaders for more information!
